Abstract

his research is motivated by the problems that exist in SMA Negeri 3 Kediri. In this problem, there is still a lack of understanding of the basic concepts of trigonometry for class XI students, because researchers use a discovery learning model that can help me learn more effectively to further improve student learning outcomes on trigonometry material. Researchers used a quantitative approach to obtain samples from the control group and the experimental group. Each class contains 23 students and the class uses tests in the form of test questions (pre-test) to provide information on initial knowledge and post-test questions are useful for assessing learning outcomes. This study concludes that the experimental group can improve from the control group as seen from the learning outcomes. Then it can be confirmed by the results of the independent sample T-test, which is feasible Sig. (2-tailed) 0.034 in the experimental group and the control group is feasible (0.034) < (0.05), then H0 will be rejected. it means that discovery learning is able to improve learning outcomes in trigonometry material.
