Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of teacher creativity in overcoming limited sports facilities, the effectiveness of students’ physical fitness, and the relationship between teacher creativity and student fitness in several public elementary school at Kediri City. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The subjects were 360 students from Phase C and eight Physical Education (PE) teacher. Research instrumens included a 20-item teacher creativity questionnaire and student physical fitness assessment using the Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI), which measures coordination, agility, speed, strength, and endurance. All items were validated with correlation values exceeding the critical value (0.294) and demonstrated high reliability, indicated by a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.984. The results show that the PE teacher’s creativity level falls into the high category, with scores ranging from 59 to 94 and an average score of 78. Students’ physical fitness is also classified as good, with 64% categorized as “good” and 13% as “excellent.” Regression analysis reveals a strong and significant relationship between teacher creativity and student physical fitness. This is supported by an R value of 0.782, R Square of 0.612, a t-value of 8.240 (p = 0.000), and an F-value of 67.899 (p = 0.000). These results indicate that teacher creativity contributes 61.2% to student fitness outcomes, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other faktors. In conclusion, teacher creativity plays an essential role in ensuring effective PE learning in schools with limited physical space. Creative teachers are able to modify equipment and adapt instructional strategies, enabling students to remain physically active and achieve optimal fitness levels.
