Abstract

Penghitungan benih ikan lele secara manual masih banyak digunakan pembudidaya, namun metode ini membutuhkan waktu lama, tenaga lebih banyak, dan rentan terhadap kesalahan manusia. Penelitian ini membandingkan efisiensi waktu antara metode manual dan alat penghitung otomatis berbasis sensor infrared dan mikrokontroler. Alat ini dirancang khusus untuk menghitung benih lele berukuran 6-7 cm dengan kapasitas maksimal 100 ekor per proses. Hasil uji banding menunjukkan alat otomatis mampu mempercepat proses penghitungan dan mengurangi kebutuhan tenaga kerja. Penggunaan teknologi sensor terbukti efektif meningkatkan efisiensi dengan hasil perbandingan otomatis 53 detik dan manual 2 menit 15 detik penghitungan benih ikan lele, sehingga dapat mendukung produktivitas dan keberhasilan usaha budidaya lele di Indonesia.
