Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada desain dan simulasi poros mesin brush sander dengan tipe dua poros brush. Poros mesin merupakan komponen kritis dalam mesin brush sander, dan desain yang efisien menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan daya tahan mesin. Simulasi dilakukan untuk menganalisis distribusi gaya, torsi, von mises stress, displacement, strain dan factor of safety pada poros. Digunakan jenis Ductile Iron sebagai material poros dengan yield strength sebesar 5.51485e+008 N/m^2. Hasil simulasi brush model 2 menunjukkan Von Mizes Stress maksimum 2.955e+002 N/m^2 dan minimum 4.709e+000 N/m^2. Displacement maksimum 8.567e-008 mm dan minimum 0.000e+000 mm, dengan nilai tertinggi pada ujung poros berwarna merah. Simulasi strain maksimum 1.151e-009 dan minimum 5.726e-011. Faktor keamanan (FOS) maksimum 1.171e+008 dan minimum 1.866e+006, menandakan model aman dengan kriteria di bawah 10. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam terkait karakteristik mekanik poros, memungkinkan perancang untuk melakukan penyesuaian desain guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan keandalan mesin brush sander dengan dua poros brush.
