Abstract

Mencuci tangan merupakan suatu kegiatan yang sangat penting bagi kesehatan. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas 2018 sebanya 49,8% dari jumlah populasi di Indonesia masih belum menerapkan pola hidup bersih. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka diperlukan suatu alat yang dapat menarik minat masyarakat untuk menerapkan pola hidup bersih. sehingga dibuatlah sebuah alat cuci tangan otomatis berbasis sensor infrared proximity. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui cara merancang alat pencuci otomatis berbasis sensor Infrared Proximity, prinsip keja dari alat ini, dan kelebihan dan kekurangan dari alat ini. Alat cuci tangan ini menggunkana sensor halangan infrared proximity dan water pump, dimana berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan menyatakan bahwa sensor tersebut sangat sensitif terhadap objek didepannya, sehingga sangat cocok digunakan dalam proyek ini.
