Abstract

Kelapa memiliki peranan penting sebagai bahan baku makanan atau bahan industry yang biasanya kelapa diolah terlebih dahulu menjadi santan minyak kopra dan biodiesel. semua produk olahan tersebut berawal dari santan yang dihasilkan melalui proses pemarutan buah kelapa kemudian diambil dan diperas diambil sarinya. Salah satu tahapan proses pembuatan santan yaitu proses pemarutan kelapa yang dapat dilakukan menggunakan mesin pemarut kelapa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menganalisa kebutuhan daya pada mesin pemarut kelapa. Metode yang digunakan diantaranya dokumentasi, studi literature, dan observasi dilapangan. Berdasarkan analisa data dapat diketahui jumlah momen inersia massa dari masing masing kompenen pemarut sebesar 1,92x 10ˉ⁴, kgm². Hasil dari perhitungan kecepatan sudut sebesar 345 rad/s perhitungan gaya 9,8 N torsi sebesar 0,311 Nm dan Rpm yang diharapkan dari mesin pemarut 3300 Rpm, sehingga diperoleh hasil dari kebutuhan daya mesin pemarut kelapa sebesar: 0,195 Hp atau 145 watt dari perhitungan tersebut maka motor dengan daya 0,25 Hp dapat digunakan untuk menggerakan mekanisme pemarut.
