Abstract

The focus of this research is on the cultural value in the Methyl Pari mantra which was further developed to be a benefit on javanese language learning class XI SMA. This research uses a qualitative type of research with qualitative descriptive methods and uses an Ethnological approach branch of Cultural Anthropology. In this study, data collection techniques were used in the form of documentation and interviews. The results showed that the Methyl Pari mantra contains cultural values in the form of educational values, and community values. In addition to these cultural values, there are also religious values obtained. Religious values include man's relationship with oneself, man's relationship with God, man's relationship with nature, man's relationship with other human beings. Then it was developed in learning Javanese in class XI SMA in the form of Traditional Ceremonies.
