Abstract

The participation and competence of farmers in running a livestock business has an impact on the level of progress in technical cultivation and the economic income of the farmer's family. This study aims to 1) analyze the participation of members in improving the quality of livestock resources, and 2) analyze the factors that influence their development, 3) formulate appropriate strategies to increase the participation of members of the livestock group. Case study research of data collection through filling out questionnaires and interviews. The research subjects were determined deliberately, namely members of the Ruminan Jaya Makmur livestock group, Semen Village, the activity was carried out in January – March 2022. The analytical method used was descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the participation of group members was good in the organization, the factor of capital and external cooperation with financial institutions (investors) was still weak. Development strategies that can be carried out by increasing member participation in strengthening capital and productive businesses as well as establishing cooperation with various financial inklution
