Abstract

The objective of this study used gravity approach is primarily to examine the influence of economic mass and distance on Indonesian exports to the ten main destination countries. The dependent variable is exports, while the independent variables include total revenues of the two countries, the resemblance size, relative factor of endowment, and distance. Panel Data types and data are analyzed using OLS, FEM and REM. The number of countries are 10 (ten) countries while time is 18 (eighteen) years so observation are 180. The results of analysis used FEM are as follows: revenues of both countries (SUMGDP) and the similarly of economy (SIMSIZE) positive and significant impact on exports; relative factor endowment (RELENDOW) and distance (DIST) significant negative effect on exports. Based on FEM analysis of the most significant shift occurred in the state of USA, and vice versa smallest change occurred in the Australian state.
