Abstract

Salah satu komponen kondisi fisik atlet yaitu daya tahan. Daya tahan yang baik dapat diketahui melalui pengukuran tingkat kardioresporasi atau sering disebut dengan tingkat volume oksigen maksimal (VO₂Max). Guyton dan Hall (2008) menyatakan VO₂Max adalah kecepatan pemakaian oksigen dalam metabolisme aerob maksimum. Pendapat lain mengatakan bahwa VO₂Max adalah pengambilan oksigen selama keja masimal, biasanya dinyatakan dengan volume per menit yang dapat dikonsumsi persatuan waktu tertentu. Kondisi VO₂Max dapat digunaan sebagai parameter kebugaran jasmani seseorang. Dengan VO₂Max yang baik, maka semakin bagus daya tahan sehingga mendukung performa dalam pertandingan.
