Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan akurasi klasifikasi citra MRI tumor otak dengan menerapkan teknik pre-processing berupa Thresholding Otsu dan edge detection Canny sebelum diproses oleh model VGG16. Citra MRI yang seringkali memiliki noise dan kurang tajam diproses melalui tahapan konversi ke grayscale, Thresholding Otsu, serta edge detection Canny untuk memperjelas informasi visual. Dataset terdiri dari empat kelas (glioma, healthy, meningioma, dan pituitary) yang dibagi dalam folder pelatihan, validasi, dan pengujian. Model VGG16 digunakan dengan metode transfer learning dan dievaluasi menggunakan metrik akurasi, confusion matrix, dan classification report. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pre-processing tersebut berhasil meningkatkan akurasi model hingga 94,89% pada data uji, membuktikan kontribusi signifikan teknik ini dalam meningkatkan performa klasifikasi citra MRI tumor otak.
