Abstract

Abstract - Peeling peanut shells is the process of refining peanut shells from their seeds. However, the process of peeling the peanut shells from the peanut shells has not been used by everyone. The design aims to plan the transfer or power transmission of a peanut skin peeler and refining machine with a capacity of 5 kg/hour. The design of this tool uses a direct observation approach, which is a direct data collection method in which researchers or research assistants directly observe the symptoms being studied from an object of research using or without research instruments that have been designed. The power transfer or transmission of the peanut skin peeling and smoothing machine functions properly or runs smoothly and requires a power of 656.48 Watts. By using a double sheave pulley (double wheel pulley) size 5.5 inch = 139.7mm for motor drive, single sheave pulley (one wheel pulley) size 4 inch = 101.6mm for peanut skin peeler, and single sheave pulley ( pulley one wheel) for 2.5 inch = 63.5mm peanut skin polisher. To transmit the rotation of the motor to the drive shaft of the peanut skin peeler, use a type A-36 v-belt with a length of 40 inches = 1.36m, width 13mm, thickness 8mm and for smoothing peanut shells, use a v-belt type A-68, with a length of 45 inches = 1.76m wide 14mm 9mm thick.
